Now, we are down to the wire. Below is a  timeline to help you easily navigate important events that must happen.

One Month Before the Wedding

  1. Confirm Guest Count
    • Finalize the headcount and share it with your caterer and venue.
  2. Schedule Beauty Appointments
    • Plan hairstyle, facials, and other pre-wedding grooming for bridal party, groom and groomsmen.
  3. Break in Your Shoes
    • Wear your wedding shoes around the house to ensure comfort. (Have a pair of flats for extra comfort.)
  4. Pack for Your Honeymoon
    • Prepare everything you’ll need for your post-wedding getaway.

1–2 Weeks Before the Wedding

  1. Pick Up Your Marriage License
    • Ensure all documents are ready and valid.
  2. Confirm Vendor Details
    • Double-check arrival times and services with all vendors.
  3. Delegate Tasks
    • Assign tasks to your wedding party, such as guestbook duties or coordinating transportation.
  4. Prepare an Emergency Kit
    • Include items like safety pins, stain remover, tissues, and a small sewing kit.

The Afternoon/Night Before the Wedding

  1. Attend the Rehearsal and Rehearsal Dinner
    • Practice the ceremony and celebrate with close family and friends.
  2. Pack a Wedding Day Bag
    • Include essentials like your vows, makeup, comfortable (flats) shoes, and snacks.
  3. Relax and Rest
    • Get a good night’s sleep so you feel refreshed for your wedding day.

Wedding Day

  1. Start the Day Calmly
    • Eat a healthy breakfast, hydrate, and give yourself plenty of time to get ready.
  2. Stick to the Timeline
    • Trust your wedding planner or point person to manage the schedule.
  3. Enjoy the Special Moment
    • Take a deep breath, soak in the day, and focus on celebrating with your loved ones.

After the Wedding

  1. Send Thank-You Notes
    • Within 1–2 months, send hand-written thank-you cards to guests and vendors.
  2. Preserve Memories
    • Get your dress cleaned and preserved.
    • Fnalize your wedding album or video.
  3. Update Legal Documents
    • Changing your name, update driver’s license, bank accounts, social security card and other documents.
  4. Celebrate Being Married!
    • Enjoy your honeymoon and settle into married life. 😊
